1 · Capture
Open the app, pick a category (filling, checkup, whitening, cosmetic, crown, ortho, emergency, or not-sure), and take four guided photos: front smile, upper arch, lower arch, problem area. On-camera guides show you exactly how to frame each one. We don't ship blurry photos to dentists — clearer photos mean more accurate quotes.
2 · Location & radius
Allow precise GPS. Drag the slider 2–30 km. As you slide, the live count of AHPRA-registered dentists in range updates. That's the pool your request will be broadcast to.
3 · Urgency
Choose your window: 1 hour, 4 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, or emergency. Faster windows incur a transparent emergency uplift (set by the dentist, capped at +50%). You see the uplift on the quote card before you book — no hide-and-seek.
4 · Live feed
Dentists in range get a push notification. They review your photos and send an indicative quote within the window. You watch them arrive in real time on the live feed — list view or map view, your call.
Every quoting dentist can revise once. After that the quote is locked. You see the lowest, the fastest, the closest. Open feed — every patient sees every quote.
5 · Book
Pick the one that suits. Apple Pay / Google Pay / card. You pay a refundable platform deposit ($50 / $75 / $100, scaled to the quote size) — held by QuoteMySmile, never by the clinic. The deposit is refunded in full to your card within 5 business days of your visit.
- Cancel ≥24 h before the slot → full refund.
- Cancel inside the window or no-show → deposit forfeited.
6 · The visit
You attend the clinic. The dentist confirms the clinical exam and final fee. You pay the clinic directly for the treatment. Their bill is between you and them — we never see it. Once the dentist marks you attended in their app, the deposit refund kicks off.
7 · Afterwards
Leave a verified review (attended bookings only). The dentist gets feedback; future patients see the score. Your photos and location are deleted 30 days after the request closes — automatically.
